OUR HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY

Founded in 1983, CZ Becker Company started in Northwest Portland serving neighborhood homes, apartments and businesses. We have been learning and developing the wood flooring craft for over 30 years and teaching it to the craftsmen who are a key part of our company. The foundation of everything we do is quality. We’re committed to craftsmanship and we don’t cut corners.

Frank Magnuson | Owner

Frank began his career at CZ Becker Company in 1992. Frank grew up with the sons of CZ Becker founder, Charlie Becker. Charlie recognized that Frank was a good kid with a work ethic and Frank capitalized on the opportunity to learn the trade he would fall in love with.

Frank took on duties as Project Manager for CZ Becker, eventually managing the operations and ultimately purchasing the business from his mentor, Charlie.

In his many years as a wood floor craftsman, Frank has an eye for the detail and intricacies of each project. "The foundation of everything we do is quality," says Frank. "We don't cut corners and my crew is as committed to craftsmanship as I. We are a team operation, and I am fortunate to have the employees I do".

Frank and his family live in NE Portland and enjoy taking advantage of all that Portland's great neighborhoods have to offer from beautiful parks to amazing restaurants. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, riding bikes with his young son and come Fall, Fantasy Football... much to his wife's chagrin.
